Zareen Khan made her acting with Salman Khan starrer Veer. When Zareen entered in Bollywood, the audience could not stop making a comparison of her with Katrina Kaif. In an episode of Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, the actress revealed these comparisons and said that she struggled due to it in the film industry. She also touched on being labeled as an ‘arrogant’ woman in the film business.
The actress informed Bharti and Haarsh that after her movie Veer, life become bad for her. People criticized her a lot over the movie. But still, she defines the movie shot with Salman as the turning point in her life, even with an immense scale. The Housefull 2 star said that at first, whenever she was compared with Katrina, she used to feel rather pleased. But then the situation was entirely different in the film industry.
The actress said that comparison with Katrina use to fascinate her since she was once over weighted. However, it eventually had a downside. She felt the company’s employees are strangers to her: she does not know most of them, only some producers and directors on a first-name basis. But gradually she was considered to be overbearing and conceited, majorly because she was launched by Salman Khan.
Furthermore, Zareen Khan revealed that it got to a point where she was extremely scared of getting out of her house due to the critique that was directed to her. The Aksar 2 heroine stayed indoors and was postponing going out as she did not know what people would say about her dress. That comparison to Katrina went south, and she was even called overweight. Zareen stated that she was insulted so much that all she wished to be at one point was a house bound woman.
