Ranbir Kapoor recently recalled a troubling childhood memory when his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor, were facing difficulties. He revealed that he would sit on the staircase and listen to their arguments, which deeply disturbed him.
During his interview with entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath on his YouTube channel, Ranbir shared that despite of coming from a privileged background, he did not receive any extra money when he studied abroad.
He also mentioned that his father took away his car when he returned to India to keep him grounded. Upon being asked about his father’s intention, the actor described him as short tempered yet good man who loves his family, food, work, and alcohol, and was open about his thoughts.
Ranbir also stated that he had to deal with his parents’ troubled relationship alone because his sister had moved away for studies. He explained that any loud noise disturbs him due to this past. He added that with his sister away, he felt a sense of responsibility during his parents’ rough patch. While his mother was expressive, his father was not, which left him unable to understand his perspective.
