Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced a major contract win with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited. The company has been empanelled to deliver 6,580 Off-Grid Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. This project includes pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities.

The total value of the order is pegged at Rs 155.24 crore, inclusive of GST, and the project is expected to be executed within 60 days from the issuance of the work order or Notice to Proceed (NTP). The scope of work for includes the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar water pumping systems.

This contract represents a significant achievement for Shakti Pumps, reflecting its capability and expertise in solar energy solutions. The company will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the project, from design to commissioning, ensuring that the systems are operational within the stipulated timeline.
