Shah Rukh Khan, the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), may face legal consequences after being caught smoking a cigarette in the stadium during a game between Kolkata and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens.

The Bollywood celebrity has already been into problems with his behaviour in a stadium during an IPL match. In 2012, he got caught in a major incident after an argument with security staff and authorities during a game between the KKR and Mumbai Indians. Later, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) issued him a five-year suspension. He was prohibited from attending MCA premises, including the Wankhede Stadium.

Shah Rukh Khan may find himself in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons once again. On Saturday (March 23), he attended KKR’s IPL 2024 season opener. During KKR’s innings, cameras captured him smoking a cigarette in the stands.

In terms of the game, KKR scored an impressive 208 for 7 in the said 20 overs. When asked to bat first, the two-time IPL champions were 51 for 4 at one point before Phil Salt and Ramandeep Singh helped to steady the ship. They carried the score past 100 runs before they were dismissed in quick succession.
