Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, along with the entire cabinet, handed in their resignation on Tuesday, signaling a potential rift in the ruling coalition between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) in Haryana, just ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar and his cabinet colleagues was submitted to the governor at Raj Bhawan, marking a significant development in the state’s political landscape.
With Manohar Lal Khattar stepping down as the Chief Minister of Haryana, the entire Khattar cabinet has also tendered their resignations.
It is speculated that Manohar Lal Khattar may contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls from Karnal.
Independent MLA Nayan Pal Rawat expressed to news agency ANI that the alliance is at a breaking point, but some independent MLAs who support the Khattar-led government are expected to ensure its survival.
Moreover, it’s noteworthy that Haryana is also scheduled for assembly polls later this year, adding to the political uncertainty in the state.
