On Tuesday, the former One Directioner turned to Instagram to reveal a brand-new music video, which sent his fans into a frenzy.

Before sharing a video of himself sitting on a motorbike and revving the engine before his helmet visor snapped down, Zayn, 30, completely deleted his social media accounts.

A link emerged on his Instagram profile as well, leading to a website where fans could ‘presave’ his music on Spotify and Apple Music.

It’s been over two years since the father-of-one released new music, so it’s no surprise that fans were ecstatic.

‘CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS,’ ‘STOP!,’ ‘WOW OK,’ and ‘Screaming’ rapidly swamped the comment area.

‘Oh sh*t he’s coming,’ added another social media user, while someone else said: ‘I am not OK right now.’

Zayn teased fans one more last month when he thanked them on Twitter for their support.

However, his unexpected remark came with no explanation, leaving many admirers perplexed as to what it all meant.

Zayn tweeted: ‘I would like to say thank you to everyone that has supported me throughout this amazing journey, especially to my fans who I owe my life to.’

‘I admire you and appreciate everything you do for me.’ Some admirers saw his remark as a public farewell or a suggestion that he was retiring from music.

One fan, rather alarmed by the image, instantly responded: ‘I love u Z, don’t become a farmer yet, I want more album!!’ I’m missing you.
