What is Hosiery?
The feet and legs are covered by hosiery clothing. Originally used to refer to all knitted products, the term “hosiery” is now used to refer to any form of knitted fabric whose thickness and weight are determined by the fabric’s opacity.
By the 17th century, hand-knit stockings had taken on their current appearance, and today, hosiery—knit or woven covers for the feet and legs—especially women’s stockings and tights—are made to be worn within shoes.
Garments made of Hosiery
There are different sorts of hosiery goods are knitted items for the feet and legs. It can be a hose with a leg length that extends above the knee or a three-quarter hose with a knee length that is roughly twice as long as the foot. Men’s half hose are also available and are made of hosiery.
