Harley Davidson introduced its e-cycle in the US and Europe. The Serial 1 e-cycles are a spinoff of the company’s first-ever motorcycle which came out in 1903.
Four variants under the Serial 1 series: called Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost comes with a lithium-ion (Li-ion)battery, LED lighting, and walk-assist function. As reported by Hindustan Times Auto, the variants also have a Gates carbon drive belt mated to a mid-mounted Brose electric motor.
The Serial 1 MOSH/CTY is the company’s entry-level e-bike which comes with a price tag of $3,799. The bike has a top speed of 32 kmph 529Wh li-ion battery which will get fully charged in four hours and 45 minutes. The e-bike has a range between 56 km to 168 km, depending on the terrain and the mode selected.
The RUSH/CTY model, a premium model of Serial 1 has features like an odometer display, storage compartment, and 4-piston brake callipers. The bike comes with a 706Wh li-ion battery. RUSH/CTY has a maximum range of 185km and takes more than six hours to get fully charged.
The RUSH/CTY STEP-THRU model has the same features as RUSH/CTY, with a difference in its battery. This model is equipped with a 529Wh battery unit and has a range of 144 km. Priced at $4,999, the bike will take more than four hours to charge.
In addition to the said models, Harley Davidson also offers an exclusive model called RUSH/CTY SPEED with a top speed of 46kmph. It is priced at $5,599.
