Kim Namjoon, better known as RM from BTS, has always had a deep love for art. From paintings to sculptures, he has spent years collecting beautiful pieces from both Korean and international artists. Now, he’s taking that passion to the next level with his very own art exhibition, which will give fans and art lovers a rare chance to see the works he treasures most.
The exhibition will be held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) in California. It’s scheduled to run for five months, from October 2026 to February 2027. Although ticket details and exact dates haven’t been announced yet, fans are already looking forward to seeing RM’s artistic world come to life.
The show will feature a total of 200 works, combining RM’s personal collection and pieces from SFMOMA. Visitors can expect to see a mix of modern and contemporary Korean art along with global masterpieces. Artists from RM’s collection include Yun Hyong Keun, Park Rehyun, Kwon Okyon, Kim Yun Shin, To Sangbong, and Chang Ucchin — all key figures in Korea’s art history. From SFMOMA’s side, there will be pieces by well-known names like Kim Whanki, Mark Rothko, Agnes Martin, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Paul Klee.
RM shared the news on his social media, expressing how meaningful this project is to him. He revealed that he first heard about the exhibition idea last year and still remembers the excitement he felt. Since he started visiting museums in 2018, RM has built an impressive art collection and developed a strong connection with the art world.
Through this exhibition, he hopes to share that passion with everyone and encourage visitors to approach the artworks with curiosity and an open heart. It’s a special moment not just for fans of BTS, but for anyone who appreciates how art can connect cultures, emotions, and people around the world.
