The metals market is not moving in one direction. Some metals are rising very fast. Others are flat or falling. The data shows strong yearly gains in key metals. But short term pressure is visible.

Silver rises 126.77 percent YoY while gold gains 41.39 percent

Gold is priced at 4733.25 USD per troy ounce. It slipped 0.14 percent today. But it is still up 9.60 percent this year. On a yearly basis it gained 41.39 percent.

Silver shows a much stronger trend. It is at 76.242 USD per troy ounce. It dropped 1.84 percent today. But the yearly jump is huge at 126.77 percent. It is also up 6.97 percent this year.

Platinum is at 2040.90 USD per troy ounce. It fell 2.26 percent today. It is slightly down 1.32 percent this year. But yearly growth is still high at 111.14 percent.

Lithium surges 147.50 percent YoY while copper gains 24.84 percent

Lithium is one of the biggest movers. It is priced at 173000 CNY per ton. It gained 1.17 percent today. It is up 45.99 percent this year. The yearly jump stands at 147.50 percent.

Copper is trading at 6.0867 USD per pound. It fell 0.54 percent today. But monthly growth is strong at 12.13 percent. It is up 7.13 percent this year and 24.84 percent yearly.

Cobalt hydroxide is at 56709.44 USD per metric ton. It is nearly flat today. It is down 1.36 percent this year but up 100.92 percent yearly.

Steel rises 18.41 percent YTD while iron ore stays nearly flat

Steel prices show slow growth. Steel is at 3129.00 CNY per ton. It is up 1.07 percent this year. HRC steel is stronger at 1107.09 USD per ton. It gained 18.41 percent this year and 26.67 percent yearly.

Iron ore is mixed. The CNY price is 783.50 per ton. It is down 0.76 percent this year. The USD price is 107.11 per ton and is almost flat at negative 0.02 percent this year.

Other metals are weaker. Silicon is down 3.02 percent this year and 5.08 percent yearly. Scrap steel is up 12.31 percent this year. Titanium is up 4.35 percent this year but down 3.03 percent yearly.

The data shows a clear split. Precious and battery metals are leading gains. Industrial metals are moving slowly. Short term pressure is still visible across the market.
