Justin Bieber has taken fans by surprise with the sudden release of his seventh studio album, titled Swag. Without much buildup, Bieber revealed the project and its full tracklist only hours before making the album available, catching both fans and the music industry off guard. The new record features a total of 21 songs and includes a wide range of collaborations, showcasing both established names and rising talent.
Among the featured artists on Swag are Gunna, Druski, Dijon, Lil B, Sexyy Red, Cash Cobain, Eddie Benjamin, and gospel legend Marvin Winans. The album’s final track, Forgiveness, is a reimagined version of the worship classic Lord, I Lift Your Name on High and highlights Winans’ powerful vocals. Bieber not only gathered a diverse lineup of guest performers but also had a strong hand in production. He co-produced the album with an eclectic mix of talents including Carter Lang, Dylan Wiggins, Daniel Caesar, mk.gee, Daniel Chetrit, and Knox Fortune.
In the days leading up to the release, speculation began when billboards featuring Bieber and the word Swag appeared in cities like Iceland, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. These cryptic advertisements prompted fans to guess that a new album was imminent. Bieber confirmed the rumors when he reposted the images on Instagram and followed up with a video from Times Square revealing what appeared to be a 20-song tracklist. When Swag dropped, it was revealed that the final version included one extra track, bringing the total to 21.
To further excite fans, Bieber also shared intimate behind-the-scenes photos from what seems to be the album’s cover shoot. In the images, he’s seen holding his son, Jack Blues, and standing beside his wife, Hailey Bieber, offering a glimpse into his personal life during this creative chapter.
Swag marks Bieber’s first full-length album since Justice, which came out in 2021. That record debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and featured hits like Peaches, Hold On, and Anyone. Following the release of Justice, Bieber launched the Justice World Tour in 2022, but he had to suspend the shows in September of that year to prioritize his health.
Since then, he’s kept a relatively low profile musically, although there were subtle signs that something new was on the way. In recent months, Bieber had been sharing moments from casual jam sessions at his Los Angeles home and posting studio clips featuring collaborators like Carter Lang, Eddie Benjamin, and Tay James. These glimpses now make more sense in retrospect, as they were part of the buildup to Swag.
With this new release, Bieber steps into a broader sonic space, blending rap, R&B, pop, and gospel influences. The album reflects a more evolved sound while still holding onto the smooth, melodic elements that made him a global star. Fans are already diving deep into the tracklist, eager to absorb what this new chapter of Bieber’s music has to offer.
