Earlier this July, an online post tried to connect the two idols through small details like similar clothes, accessories, and a shared love for fitness. Most fans didn’t take it seriously and dismissed it as another stretch by overanalyzing fans.
The talk picked up again on July 7 when Jungkook was seen at the airport with BTS members SUGA and Jimin. A photo of Jungkook showed his nails painted in two colors—blue and black. While many fans liked the unique style, some immediately pointed out that Winter had recently performed with bold blue nails too. This made some netizens think they might be secretly hinting at a connection through matching nail designs.
The theories didn’t stop there. People began pulling in other BTS members. V had recently shown off nail art, Jimin wore a blue outfit that day, and Jin had also once had mismatched nails. Even BLACKPINK’s Rosé was mentioned because she traveled to Los Angeles at the same time, even though her trip was clearly for concert preparations.
Amid the wild theories, other fans offered a more grounded reason. Some said Jungkook might be showing support for the Polished Man campaign, a global movement that raises awareness about violence against women and children. As part of the campaign, participants often paint one or more nails—sometimes blue.
There’s no official explanation for Jungkook’s nails, and he hasn’t commented on it. But most fans don’t believe the dating rumors. They say matching nails or outfits don’t prove anything and are frustrated with the constant attempts to link idols based on small coincidences.
