Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber have faced ongoing divorce rumors since their marriage in 2018, despite repeatedly assuring fans that their relationship remains strong. However, a source close to the couple recently revealed that if they were to separate, Justin could be entitled to half of Hailey’s substantial business fortune. This surprising possibility arises because the couple reportedly never signed a prenuptial agreement.
Hailey launched her beauty brand, Rhode, in 2022, and recently sold it to e.l.f. in a multi-billion-dollar deal, significantly boosting her net worth. According to a top Hollywood lawyer speaking to Page Six, it’s quite rare for high-profile couples like the Biebers not to have an agreement in place governing their assets. The lawyer noted that although the couple was legally married in New York and celebrated in South Carolina, they currently reside in California, which follows community property laws.
Under California law, without a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement, any assets acquired during the marriage are considered community property and are typically split equally upon divorce. This means Justin could potentially claim half of Hailey’s earnings from her business. Meanwhile, Justin recently addressed his fans on Instagram, pushing back against the ongoing intrusion into their private lives, responding cryptically to criticism including past remarks he made about Hailey’s Vogue cover.
