Nick Jonas recently talked about how his wife, Priyanka Chopra, juggles her busy filming schedule between India and New York while still making time for their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
During an interview on Live with Kelly and Mark, Nick said, “It’s kind of the first time in a long time that we’ve been in one place for longer than just a few weeks as a family. It’s amazing.” He added, “Pri’s back and forth shooting in India, but it’s been nice to kinda have a real routine here.”
Nick also shared a sweet update about their daughter Malti, who just turned three. He told the hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos that Malti is going to nursery school in New York and already has a little group of friends, calling it “wild” how quickly she’s growing and socializing.
Nick and Priyanka welcomed Malti through surrogacy in January 2022, and since then, they’ve been focused on giving her a stable, active childhood in New York. Nick mentioned they’ve enrolled Malti in several classes, noting how surprisingly busy toddler schedules can be. When Mark commented on how New York has everything, Nick agreed, saying the city offers endless opportunities.
He shared that they tried soccer for Malti, but she wasn’t a fan. However, she’s taken a real liking to karate. Nick described how she loves putting on her karate outfit and shouting “hiya” during practice, which is something she’s really enjoying.
Reflecting on this time with his daughter, Nick said, “It’s amazing to just have that sort of stability and friendship and all those things that I don’t know, perhaps I took for granted in the past.”
Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra have been married since December 2018. They often share glimpses of their life as parents on social media but always respect Malti’s privacy.
