Ana de Armas recently talked about working with Tom Cruise for the first time since rumors about them dating started making the rounds. The 37-year-old actress, who is busy promoting her new film in the John Wick universe called Ballerina, confirmed that she and Cruise are involved in several projects together.
During an interview on Good Morning America on May 15, Ana said, “We are definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one, but several projects with Doug Liman, Christopher McQuarrie, and, of course, Tom. And I’m very excited.” While she didn’t directly address the dating rumors, she hinted their relationship is purely professional—something her agent has been emphasizing in recent weeks.
Doug Liman has directed Tom Cruise in movies like Edge of Tomorrow (2014) and American Made (2017). Christopher McQuarrie, who writes and directs, has worked with Cruise on the Mission: Impossible films and wrote the script for Edge of Tomorrow.
Tom Cruise and Ana were first seen together in London back in February. At that time, her team told the media they were “discussing potential collaborations in the future.” Since then, the pair have been spotted together several times, including Cruise reportedly celebrating Ana’s birthday in London. On March 14, they were seen arriving in the city by helicopter with Liman.
More recently, Cruise and Ana were photographed leaving David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London on May 3.
Tom Cruise was also in the spotlight at Cannes 2025 for the premiere of Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning, which is directed by McQuarrie. The movie features Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Pom Klementieff. It’s set to release worldwide on May 23, with Indian audiences getting a chance to see it from May 17.
