Usher recently made waves—not for his usual show-stopping performances, but for a quirky new trend he’s been embracing. On The Jennifer Hudson Show (aired in February), Usher shared a funny story about how it all began.
He explained, “It started with strawberries in Vegas,” revealing that he and his crew decided to try feeding each other different fruits during performances to see which one worked best.
Usher particularly singled out cherries, calling them “erotic” and describing the playful vibe they bring. This fruit-feeding became a bit of a signature move, especially after a moment during his February tour stop in London went viral.
During that show, Usher tried to feed cherries to a female fan in the audience, but she politely declined. At first, he was confused—until she explained she was allergic to cherries.
A social media video captured Usher’s reaction: “Oh st, you’re allergic to cherries, damn! Anybody got an epipen in this b*ch?” he joked, then quickly apologized, gave her a hug, and carried on with the show.
He even added, “We almost had an emergency in here,” highlighting how close the situation came to becoming serious.
This playful stunt first made headlines a few weeks prior, when a viral photo from the 2025 Met Gala showed Usher feeding cherries to singer Sabrina Carpenter during his performance. The moment sparked lots of buzz, and now Usher’s fruity antics are becoming a fun new trend for the R&B superstar.
