Taylor Swift’s team strongly denied Justin Baldoni’s claims in the ongoing lawsuit involving Blake Lively. Baldoni’s legal team subpoenaed Swift amid the prolonged battle, alleging extortion and defamation involving Swift, Lively, and Ryan Reynolds.

Swift’s spokesperson told People that the subpoena is just an attempt to use her name for publicity, calling it “tabloid clickbait” meant to distract from the case’s facts.

Baldoni’s complaint referenced text messages where Lively allegedly called Swift one of her “dragons,” a Game of Thrones metaphor. He also claimed Swift complimented Lively’s script in a private meeting as a way to pressure him into creative concessions, implying he had to follow Lively’s lead.

Swift’s camp fired back, saying she had no involvement with the film It Ends With Us: she never visited the set, was not part of casting or creative decisions, didn’t score the film, never saw any edits or notes, and only saw the movie weeks after its release. They explained she was busy touring globally during 2023 and 2024.

The only link between Swift and the movie was licensing her song My Tears Ricochet for the soundtrack. Sources said Swift was hurt by being dragged into the legal dispute and took the matter seriously.

Blake Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment, unprofessional conduct, and a smear campaign. Baldoni responded with a $400 million defamation countersuit. The trial is scheduled for March 2026, and more celebrity names could emerge as the case unfolds.
