Tom Holland and Zendaya may be madly in love, but tying the knot isn’t happening anytime soon, thanks to their jam-packed schedules and Tom focusing on staying sober.
Tom, who’s now 29, has been putting a lot of energy into promoting his new non-alcoholic beer brand, which is a big part of his commitment to living alcohol-free. At the same time, Zendaya, 28, has her hands full with back-to-back movies and endorsement deals, basically, she’s booked and busy.
According to someone close to the couple, Tom would love nothing more than to whisk Zendaya away to some dreamy destination and say “I do” in a low-key ceremony. But real life isn’t a rom-com. Between her packed filming calendar and his growing business ventures, finding even a weekend together is proving difficult.
Zendaya, on the other hand, has a different idea of the perfect wedding. Word is, she’s always dreamed of a big, beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and loved ones, not a rushed elopement in a tropical hideout.
They’ve tried comparing calendars and making it work, but it looks like 2025 isn’t the year for wedding bells. Their careers keep taking center stage, and trying to coordinate time off together is nearly impossible. As one source put it, “Superstar couples have it rough when it comes to syncing up their lives, it’s not as glamorous behind the scenes as it looks.”
Adding to the mix, Tom is reportedly getting the itch to settle down and start a family. But with Zendaya’s work showing no signs of slowing down, those baby plans are likely to be on hold too. For now, they’re excited to live together for a longer stretch of time. Once they’ve had that experience, maybe they’ll finally lock down a date and make it official.
But don’t worry, fans—there’s still some good news! Tom and Zendaya will be back on screen together this summer, filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. So even if the wedding’s on pause, their chemistry isn’t going anywhere.
The pair first met in 2016 while filming Spider-Man: Homecoming. They kept things private for a while but confirmed their relationship in 2021 after being spotted kissing in a car. Rumor has it they even got engaged in 2024 during a cozy visit to one of Zendaya’s family homes in the U.S.
So while the wedding may be postponed, the love is still very real, and fans can look forward to seeing them back in action together soon.
