This year’s Met Gala was packed with star power, with tons of A-list celebrities showing off jaw-dropping outfits. But one couple that everyone was curious about — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce — was noticeably missing from the big night.
According to insiders who spoke to TMZ, both Taylor and Travis did get invited to the Met Gala, which is known as the biggest event in fashion. However, their busy schedules didn’t line up, so they couldn’t make it this time around.
Taylor’s no stranger to the Met Gala. The last time she attended was back in 2016 when the theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.” In fact, she wasn’t just a guest—she was one of the co-chairs that year, meaning she played a big role in the event.
For Travis Kelce, though, the Met Gala would’ve been totally new. This year would’ve marked his first-ever appearance at the event if he had made it.
Of course, not seeing them on the blue carpet was a bummer for many Swifties (Taylor’s fans), but they shouldn’t lose hope just yet. There’s always next year, and who knows? Maybe we’ll get to see the couple making their Met Gala debut together then.
