Meghan Markle is reportedly facing challenges in booking celebrity guests for her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. Sources told RadarOnline.com that despite her efforts to reach out to A-list stars, the interest has not been mutual. A media insider claimed that Markle has tried contacting top names, but “no one’s picked up.” The lack of high-profile guests, like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, or Hailey Bieber, has raised concerns, especially since the podcast focuses on female empowerment.
One insider noted that this could become a problem for Markle’s podcast, saying it reflects poorly on her “pulling power.” Another source claimed she’s even had trouble securing mid-tier celebrities, with a Hollywood PR expert suggesting that while Markle has reached out to influencers and startup CEOs, the guests she’s landing aren’t the “red-carpet royalty” she had hoped for.
The expert also noted that booking A-listers requires strong industry connections, something Markle may not have at the moment. Her reputation, often criticized in the media, could also be affecting her ability to attract high-profile guests. The expert added, “No one is picking up their phone to that diva!”
Markle has faced backlash before, such as when she corrected comedian Mindy Kaling for addressing her by her last name on the Netflix show With Love, Meghan. Additionally, with Prince Harry dealing with legal issues surrounding security in the UK, the Duchess may need to work harder to gain credibility in the industry and bring her podcast vision to life.
The PR expert concluded, “She needs to turn this tide and attract the star power needed to elevate her podcast into a must-listen experience.”
