Country star Jelly Roll isn’t just known for his heartfelt hits like I Am Not Okay and Save Me—he’s also not afraid to tell an embarrassing story or two. During a lighthearted moment on The Jennifer Hudson Show on April 17, the singer opened up about what he called his most humiliating experience: accidentally pooping his pants on stage during a performance.
Laughing along with Jennifer Hudson and fellow guest Luke Bryan, Jelly Roll confessed, “I pooped myself one time. I did, I’m sorry.” He thought it was just gas but quickly realized otherwise, saying, “I was sure it was all air.” According to the singer, the audience’s reaction said it all—they went from cheering to visibly confused. “I watched this crowd go from loving me to just being completely out,” he joked.
While Jelly Roll clearly doesn’t mind poking fun at himself, he also brings deep vulnerability to both his music and interviews. In a previous sit-down with E! News, he talked about his personal struggles, including moments of doubt and lack of direction. What keeps him grounded, he said, are the people he meets in prisons, rehab centers, and juvenile facilities—people who open up to him about their journeys with addiction, recovery, and loss.
These meaningful encounters, Jelly Roll explained, are what fuel his passion to keep performing and speaking his truth.
And there’s plenty more to come—Jelly Roll is gearing up to headline the 2025 Stagecoach Festival on April 26, a major milestone in his already impressive career.
