Kim Kardashian is set to testify in the ongoing criminal trial concerning the armed robbery that took place during the 2016 Paris Fashion Week. The trial, scheduled to run from April 28 to May 23, will focus on six suspects involved in the heist, including Aomar Ait Khedache, the alleged mastermind, and Yunice Abbas, who was caught after dropping a diamond-encrusted cross during his escape.
Kardashian, who will take the stand on May 13, has expressed respect for the French judicial system and is committed to providing her account of the traumatic events. During the robbery, masked thieves posing as police officers broke into her luxury apartment, bound and gagged her, and locked her in a bathroom. They stole jewelry worth an estimated $10 million, including a diamond ring valued at $4 million, a gift from her ex-husband Kanye West.
Although many of the stolen items were never recovered, some were believed to have been sold in Belgium. Kardashian has previously shared the emotional and physical toll of the experience, revealing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she feared for her life during the terrifying ordeal.
The trial, which will be followed closely by many due to its high-profile nature, is a critical moment in the pursuit of justice for the crime. Kardashian’s testimony will offer an important perspective on the events of that night and the lasting impact it has had on her.
