Blake Lively and Taylor Swift have reportedly patched things up after a period of tension caused by Lively’s ongoing legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni. As the lawsuit escalated, Swift, who is a close friend of Lively, became inadvertently drawn into the controversy.
According to sources from Page Six, Lively reached out to Swift personally, apologizing for involving her in the legal drama and emphasizing that it was never her intention to cause any harm or damage their friendship. The source added, “It was important to Blake to be on good terms again with Taylor. It was never her intention to hurt Taylor or cause any harm to their friendship.”
Lively, 37, is reportedly very fond of her friendship with Swift and wanted to mend the bond they had before the situation spiraled. She missed their close connection and hoped to leave the legal mess behind. “Blake missed their friendship, and she hopes they can put this whole thing behind them,” the source continued.
Swift, 35, is said to have appreciated the apology, finding it sincere. She has decided to let go of any lingering tension and move on. “Taylor has no hard feelings and is ready to move forward,” the insider shared, indicating that the issue that started with Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Lively was now in the past.
The lawsuit claims that Lively used her influence, backed by Swift and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, to demand creative control over the film. Baldoni’s court documents allege that he was not just dealing with Lively but also her “dragons”—Swift and Reynolds—who made the situation challenging for him.
Despite the controversy, sources close to Swift say that she is unfazed by the potential deposition in the case, as she believes she has nothing to hide. The lawsuit will proceed to trial in March 2026.
