Sabrina Carpenter is on the brink of making music history, coming close to breaking a record held by Taylor Swift. The Short n’ Sweet singer is set to score her fourth No. 1 hit on the Pop Airplay chart this week.
Her 2024 album, Short n’ Sweet, has already produced three chart-topping singles—Taste, Please Please Please, and Espresso. Now, Bed Chem joins the list, bringing Carpenter within reach of Swift’s record. Swift’s 2014 album 1989 remains the only one to generate five No. 1 hits on the chart. If Carpenter matches that feat, she will join music icons like Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga, who have also achieved similar success.
Beyond her chart dominance, Carpenter is making waves with her live performances. She previously toured as an opening act for Swift’s Eras Tour and even received a special shoutout from Swift during a show in New Orleans last October. Dressed in a bright orange dress, Swift adjusted her setlist to perform Espresso in honor of Carpenter, praising her talent and success.
During the performance, Swift even called Carpenter mid-song, highlighting how the stadium crowd had sung along to every lyric of Espresso. In a surprise moment, she invited Carpenter onstage for a duet, sending fans into a frenzy both in the arena and online.
As Sabrina Carpenter continues her rapid rise in the music industry, she is now closer than ever to making history alongside some of pop’s biggest names.
