Tina Knowles isn’t holding back when it comes to Kanye West’s latest comments about her grandchildren. Beyoncé’s mother took to Instagram to respond after the rapper made remarks questioning the mental capacity of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s youngest child.
In a video where she’s seen wearing a red tracksuit, Tina shared a pointed message, expressing her frustration but maintaining her composure. She captioned the post: “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper.”
She also made it clear that she’s relying on faith to navigate the situation, adding, “This battle is not mine, but the Lord’s. I know that God has got this.”
Kanye initially deleted the controversial post but later reposted it on Wednesday. In his follow-up, he claimed that his decision to take it down wasn’t about trying to appear like a “good person” but rather to avoid potential consequences on social media.
He wrote, “I need everyone to know that I took the post about Jay Z and Beyoncé’s family down… because there was a possibility of my Twitter being cancelled [sic].”
Despite this, Ye also admitted feeling bad about his words, stating, “I LOVE JAY Z AND I DO FEEL BAD, I ALWAYS FELT LIKE THE BLACK SHEEP LIKE I WANTED FAMILY IN THIS MUSIC S–T.”
West has long expressed resentment toward Beyoncé and Jay-Z, even revisiting his disappointment that they skipped his 2014 wedding to Kim Kardashian.
This latest controversy is just one of many Kanye has stirred up on social media. Recently, he also took aim at his ex-wife, criticizing her for having sole ownership of the North West label.
