Country singer Zach Bryan, 28, has teased a new, wistful song on social media, seemingly inspired by his recent split from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. The couple, who began dating earlier this year, called it quits after a whirlwind romance, with both sharing emotional statements about the end of their relationship.
Zach Bryan’s new emotional song:
On Tuesday, October 22, Bryan posted a snippet of an unreleased song on Instagram with a melancholy tone, suggesting it may be a reflection on his breakup. “Recall when we went to Rockaway Beach / Summer heat in eastern Queens / And a subway ride,” he sang. The lyrics appear to reference memories shared with LaPaglia, further fueling speculation that the song is a tribute to their time together.
In a candid post accompanying the video, Bryan confirmed the split and expressed gratitude for LaPaglia’s support. “Brianna and I have broken up with each other, and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart,” he wrote. “She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that, I’ll always thank her.” Bryan also alluded to personal struggles over the past year, explaining that the breakup was a difficult but necessary decision. “I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go out different ways. I am not perfect and never will be,” he added.
LaPaglia, a social media personality known for her “PlanBri Uncut” podcast, shared her own response shortly after Bryan’s post. In a statement, she expressed feeling “blindsided” by the breakup and announced her decision to step away from social media to heal privately. “I love you guys so much, thank you for all of your kind words,” she wrote. “Remember, you are so loved and everything’s always gonna be OK.”
LaPaglia later elaborated on the split in an emotional YouTube video, revealing the depth of her heartbreak. “I’ve been crying for, like, five days straight,” she said. “I’m just obviously really, really hurt right now.” She als0 expressed confusion over hoe their relationship unfolded despite her unconditional support to Bryan during his tough times.
The former couple, who first crossed paths at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards, had publicly confirmed their relationship in July. They made their red carpet debut at the Grammy Awards in February and had moved in together earlier this year. However, sources close to LaPaglia claimed that she was “devastated” after discovering Bryan’s alleged activity on dating apps, which he has denied.
