Stephenie Meyer doesn’t seem particularly interested in revisiting the franchise. After the 2020 release of *Midnight Sun*, which retold the story from Edward Cullen’s perspective, the Twilight Saga has officially been put on hold. On the live-action front, the fandom has long understood that the main actors, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, didn’t particularly enjoy their time making the movies or their association with the franchise.
Additionally, considering that Stewart and Pattinson dated for a few years during the making of the films and then split, it’s safe to assume a reunion is unlikely anytime soon.

Where it used to take only a few seconds to spot a compilation video, we now have to scrutinize the shots repeatedly to debunk such content—if we can manage it at all.

Others echoed similar sentiments. Given that it’s been 12 years since the last Twilight movie, is it perhaps time to revisit the franchise? With remakes of beloved franchises, such as the new Harry Potter television series on Max, becoming increasingly popular, it seems only a matter of time before Twilight receives similar treatment. However, details about any new Twilight project have been sparse, causing many to forget that it’s even in the pipeline.
