Jennifer Aniston, renowned for her iconic role in the sitcom FRIENDS, is set to produce a modern adaptation of the classic 1980 comedy “9 to 5,” which will spotlight strong female characters. Joining forces with Aniston in this project is award-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, known for her work on “Juno,” who will be penning the script. Aniston will helm the production through her company, Echo Films, in collaboration with Kristin Hahn.
The original “9 to 5” movie, directed by Colin Higgins and featuring a stellar cast including Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda, centered on three women navigating workplace challenges and confronting their oppressive boss.
