His plane was intercepted in Miami, and one of his associates, Brendan Paul, was arrested in connection with the incident.
Brendan Paul, whose name was initially listed as Brandon Paul in legal filings, came under scrutiny after being arrested in Miami. A former basketball player at Syracuse University, Paul’s background appears unremarkable, having grown up in Ohio and pursued a collegiate sports career before transferring to Fairmont State in West Virginia. He currently resides with his parents in Ohio.
Despite his seemingly ordinary background, Paul’s involvement in the recent legal proceedings has thrust him into the spotlight. He was arrested on drug charges after Diddy’s plane was stopped at Opa Locka Airport, with authorities alleging possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana candy. While Paul has been released on bail, he is scheduled to appear in court on April 24 to face the charges against him.
Paul’s connection to Diddy remains unclear, although he posted about his work on The Love Album: Off the Grid in 2023, an album involving Diddy and Lil Rod, who has accused Diddy of sexual assault. According to legal filings, Paul is described as a “mule” for Diddy, involved in procuring, transporting, and distributing drugs at Diddy’s direction. Additionally, he is alleged to have been involved in a sex trafficking ring, handling cash payments to sex workers.
In the wake of the incident, Diddy has denied allegations of sex trafficking and assault, with Paul taking responsibility for the narcotics found during the arrest.
