The next major update for Helldivers 2 is scheduled to arrive on April 11. This update will introduce new Warbonds for players to engage with, although specific details about the content additions have not been revealed yet. According to the official Helldivers 2 Warbond FAQ, these updates will be released every second Thursday of the month, allowing players to preview the content and purchase the Warbonds at their convenience.
In the previous update, several additions were made to the game, including new armor sets, weapons such as the LAS-16 Sickle laser rifle and SG-8P Punisher Plasma shotgun, a new grenade type (Stun Grenade), a new sidearm (LAS-7 Dagger Pistol), as well as player cards and emotes.
Warbonds in Helldivers 2 function similarly to Battle Passes, with a base version available in the game and a premium version called Steeled Veterans. The upcoming Cutting Edge Warbond will be another premium Battle Pass, requiring Super Credits to purchase. These Super Credits can be obtained in-game or through real-money purchases. Players earn Medals in missions and use them to progress through the Battle Pass rewards, unlocking new weapons and armor sets gradually.
