Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, one of Hollywood’s enduring couples with 35 years of marriage, recently revealed on a talk show that they do have opinions on each other’s roles and that Sedgwick has occasionally vetoed a role for Bacon. An interesting example was when Bacon was offered the role of a dancing, singing M&M, a coveted and esteemed part. Sedgwick explained that she has a phobia known as cibolassophobia, particularly related to moving, talking food. She shared, “I have a serious issue with this; it makes me sick to my stomach if I see a commercial where an Oreo slides down a cream slide. Any anthropomorphizing of food.”

Interestingly, Bacon also has a fear, specifically of earrings. This quirkiness in their phobias adds a unique touch to their dynamic and could potentially make for an unusual horror movie premise.

Bacon, a familiar face on UK television due to his appearances in numerous commercials, has had a prolific career spanning movies and TV since his debut in National Lampoon’s Animal House. His notable works include Diner, Footloose, Tremors, Flatliners, JFK, A Few Good Men, Apollo 13, Sleepers, Hollow Man, and Mystic River. Sedgwick, on the other hand, has left her mark in films such as Born on the Fourth of July, Mr & Mrs Bridge, and Singles. She is best known for her television roles in The Closer and the comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

The couple’s ability to balance personal and professional aspects of their lives, coupled with their quirky phobias, adds a charming and distinctive touch to their Hollywood journey.
