As the post started circulating on the internet, a person took to Twitter, informing that he has officially lodged a complaint against the actress for hurting religious sentiments and insulting Hindu Gods and Goddesses with her Insta upload. He also requested the officials to take strict action against the same.

However, unaffected by all the criticism, Sofia took to her Instagram to defend herself. Responding to one of the comments, she wrote, “ Thank you!!! I am the naked Goddess! Why are some so-called Hindus offended when Naked woman shows devotion… yet when they see a Sadhu they have no issue?”
