Adani Green Energy reports 30% YoY rise in operational capacity, energy sales up 28% in FY25

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has reported robust operational performance for FY25, with operational capacity rising 30% YoY to 14.2 GW, and an additional 1 GW nearing completion, set to take total capacity to 15.2 GW.

In its provisional operational update to the stock exchanges, AGEL highlighted that energy sales surged 28% YoY, reaching 27,969 million units in FY25, driven by substantial capacity additions and improved plant availability.

Key operational highlights:

  • Generation CAGR of 45% over the last 5 years, aided by an increasing share of merchant power

  • Electricity generation consistently exceeding PPA commitments

  • Solar portfolio CUF (capacity utilisation factor) stood at 24.8%, with 99.5% plant availability

    • Notably, Khawda solar CUF reached 32.4% in Q4FY25, supported by advanced technologies such as bifacial n-type modules, HSAT trackers, and robotic cleaning

  • Wind portfolio CUF was 27.2%, with 95.9% availability

  • Hybrid portfolio CUF stood at 39.5%, backed by 99.6% availability

ESG milestones:

  • ISS ESG reaffirmed AGEL’s rating in the Prime Band A- category, ranking it 1st in Asia and among the top 5 globally in the renewable energy (RE) sector

  • Sustainalytics ranked AGEL among the top 10 RE companies globally, reinforcing its position as a sustainability leader
