SpiceJet has successfully renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, reinforcing its commitment to global safety and operational excellence. The certification, valid until March 2027, highlights the airline’s adherence to the highest safety standards.
The IOSA audit, conducted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), is a globally recognized evaluation of an airline’s operational management and control systems. SpiceJet underwent a two-phase audit—a remote documentation review followed by an on-site assessment from December 9 to 12, 2024. A team of five international auditors rigorously examined the airline’s processes, emergency response mechanisms, and risk-based management framework.
Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director of SpiceJet, expressed his delight over the renewal, stating,
“Safety is and will always be SpiceJet’s top priority. We will continue investing in the latest technology, training, and procedures to uphold the highest safety standards for our passengers and crew.”
Renewing the IOSA certification not only ensures compliance with international safety benchmarks but also enhances SpiceJet’s credibility, improves operational efficiency, boosts customer confidence, and strengthens its competitive edge in the aviation sector.
