IndiGo has significantly expanded its network out of the Navi Mumbai International Airport, adding over 30 new routes between March 29 and April 23, 2026, while simultaneously deepening its footprint across Gujarat with the launch of flights to Bhavnagar and the upcoming addition of Jamnagar.

The new routes from Navi Mumbai connect the airport to a broad spread of Indian cities including Agra, Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Belgaum, Chandigarh, Diu, Kannur, Kolkata, Patna, Rajkot, Srinagar, Varanasi, and Visakhapatnam, among others. With these additions, IndiGo will operate over 400 weekly departures from Navi Mumbai, consolidating the airport’s position as a meaningful hub for regional connectivity across the country.

On the Gujarat front, IndiGo commenced twice daily direct flights between Bhavnagar and Navi Mumbai from March 29, operated on ATR aircraft. The morning service departs Navi Mumbai at 7:00 am and arrives Bhavnagar at 8:15 am, with the return departing Bhavnagar at 8:35 am and landing at 9:35 am. The evening service departs Navi Mumbai at 7:25 pm, arriving Bhavnagar at 8:30 pm, with the return leg departing Bhavnagar at 8:50 pm and arriving Navi Mumbai at 9:55 pm. Bhavnagar is IndiGo’s fifth Gujarat destination, joining Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot. Jamnagar will be added from April 23, taking the Gujarat tally to six cities. Across all six destinations, IndiGo will operate over 1,400 weekly flights to and from the state, reflecting the scale of commercial and industrial activity in Gujarat and the sustained demand for air connectivity it generates.

The Navi Mumbai International Airport, which opened to commercial operations earlier this year, has been ramping up airline activity steadily. IndiGo’s aggressive route additions signal confidence in the airport’s passenger catchment potential, particularly given its proximity to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s eastern and southern residential and industrial corridors. The airline’s decision to serve a mix of leisure, pilgrimage, and business destinations from Navi Mumbai — ranging from Ayodhya and Varanasi to Visakhapatnam and Srinagar — reflects a deliberate effort to position the airport as a genuine alternative to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for a large segment of Mumbai-region travellers.

IndiGo currently operates a fleet of over 400 aircraft, running approximately 2,200 daily flights across 95 domestic and 40 international destinations. The airline welcomed 124 million customers in calendar year 2025 and was named the Best Airline in India and South Asia by Skytrax at the World Airline Awards 2025. It was also ranked the sixth most punctual airline in the Asia-Pacific region in 2025 by aviation analytics firm Cirium.
