The Centre’s ceaseless endeavours to improve air connectivity resulted in another success on Tuesday when two Alliance Air flights – Jabalpur-Indore-Jabalpur and Indore-Gwalior-Indore – were flagged off online by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia who also holds the Steel portfolio.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was officially quoted as saying, “The state’s geographical compatibility makes it easy to realise the potential of the industry and tourism spheres. A Greenfield airport is proposed at Dewas district’s Chachoda village in the vicinity of Indore. The length of Rewa and Ujjain airstrips will be enhanced.”
