Airfares from India to Thailand have started showing a sharp uptick for December 2026, with return flight prices climbing close to Rs 25,000, according to current fare trend data on flight booking platforms.

Search results for flights from major Indian cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru and New Delhi to Bangkok indicate that December is already pricing significantly higher compared to other months in 2026. While several months next year are showing return fares in the Rs 12,000–15,000 range, December fares are currently hovering around Rs 19,000–26,000, depending on the departure city.

The spike comes even though bookings are more than a year away, suggesting early demand pressure for Thailand during the peak winter travel season. December traditionally sees strong tourist inflows due to favourable weather, year-end holidays and festival travel.

Travel industry watchers also point to the announcement of Tomorrowland Thailand 2026, scheduled from December 11 to 13 in Pattaya, as a likely factor contributing to early interest. With Pattaya located a short distance from Bangkok, international festival-goers are expected to fly into the Thai capital, pushing up demand on India–Thailand routes.

Currently, Chennai–Bangkok fares for December 2026 are showing levels around Rs 24,000, Bengaluru around Rs 26,000, and New Delhi close to Rs 28,000 for economy class return tickets. Prices are expected to fluctuate further once festival ticket sales open and travel dates firm up.

For Indian travellers planning a December Thailand trip, especially around major events, early tracking and advance bookings may help manage rising flight costs as demand builds closer to the season.
