Vijayendra is the son of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. The former CM's son currently represents Shikaripur assembly constituency of Karnataka and was also serving as party's State Vice-President.
As per reports, the legislative party of the Karnataka BJP is scheduled to meet this evening to select the a chief minister.
BS Yediyurappa at an event marked for the two years of his government got emotional and said that each moment of his political life was an Agnipariksha.
"A COVID-19 curfew will be implemented in the state from tomorrow 9 pm i.e., 27th April for the next 14 days. Essential services will be allowed between 6 to 10 am. After 10 am, shops will be closed," CM Yediyurappa said.
Night curfew will be imposed between 10 pm - 5 am from 10th to 20th April in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Kalaburagi, Bidar, Tumkuru, Udupi and Manipal.
Congress leader Rajeev Shukla on Thursday said that BJP should solicit the resignation of BS Yediyurappa and the governor should order an investigation.
