Today’s Stocks in focus: Voltas, HCL, Dabur India; Nifty rides above 9700 level after govt. announces unlock process

On Monday, the Indian Indices opened stronger than ever with Nifty above 9700 level. At 11.17 IST, Sensex was up by 949 points or 3 percent at 33,373.20. Whereas Nifty was at a high with 272 points or 3 percent at 9,852.

Currently, Titan Company and Bajaj Finance are the top Nifty gainers riding higher by almost 7 percent. Among the sectoral indices, all are on the green side except Nifty Pharma which is on a low by 0.26 percent, at 11.20 IST.

The Market sees a high after the government announced the phase by phase unlocking process across the country. In addition, on Monday the Indian rupee gained in the early trade. Moreover, it opened with 26 paise at 75.35 against the dollar as compared to its Friday’s close of 75.61 per dollar.

Here are some of the stocks that are in focus today:

  1. Voltas:

The company’s share price rose by 10 percent in today’s early trading session. At 11.21 IST, the share price rose by 48 points or 10 percent at 528.4. On Friday, the company reported a hike in its consolidated net profit by 12.5 percent for the fourth quarter ended in March. In addition, the net profit recorded at Rs 159.5 crore against Rs 141.74 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.

  1. V-Mart:

The company posted a net loss in the fourth quarter in the FY20 to Rs 8.43 crore. Earlier, it posted a net loss of Rs 90.42 crore in the same quarter in FY19.

  1. HCL:

The IT company declared its aim to procure Cisco’s Self-Optimising Network (SON) technology for about Rs 377.93 crore. The company in its regulatory filing stated that the target entity is an asset build-out of the product and services business that comprises SON.

  1. Dabur India:

CRISIL has reaffirmed Dabur’s credit ratings at AAA/Stable for long term bank facilities.
