Stocks to watch: RIL, DLF, SBI, Tata Motors; Indices open positive, RIL hit a record high in early session

On Friday, the Indian indices opened on a positive note with Nifty above 10,100 level. At 9.28 IST, Sensex traded at 34,314.01, up by 333 points or 10,138.80.

Moreover, currently, all the sectoral indices are trading on the green side. However, Nifty Realty traded down by a point, at 9.33 IST.

In addition, in the early trade Reliance hit a record high to 1,614.95, up 2 percent after it was announced that Abu Dhabi Fund is going to invest in the Jio platforms. At 9.40 IST, the company shares traded 1,606 with 27 points.

  1. Reliance Industries:

The stocks of the company hit a record high in early trade after the news of Abu Dhabi Fund investing Rs 9,093.6 came. Further, the Abu Dhabi sovereign fund Mubadala Investment Company will be investing in the company’s digital subsidiary, Jio. In addition, this investment now takes the total amount raised by Jio to Rs 87,655.35 crore, the company said in a statement.

  1. DLF:

The company for its quarter-four posted a net loss to Rs 1,860 crore, owing to the reversal of deferred tax assets (DTA) as it adopted a lower tax rate. Earlier, the firm posted a net profit of Rs 436.56 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. Further, the enterprise’s total income declined to Rs 1873.8 crore compared to Rs 2,660.95 crore in the Q4FY19. Moreover, for the full fiscal, DLF stated a net loss of Rs 583.19 crore against a net profit of Rs 1,319.22 crore last year.

  1. RITES:

The firm’s subsidiary Railway Energy Management enterprise has secured its largest mandate from Indian Railways, as reported by Money Control.

  1. SBI:

The State Bank of India is set to announce its fourth-quarter results in today’s trading session. At 10.03 IST, the shares of the bank were trading at 179, gaining 3 percent.

  1. HDFC Life:

Earlier, the corporation reported a sale of around 40,000 shares at Rs. 496 through a bulk deal.

Additionally, some of the other stocks in focus today include Canara Bank, HCL Technologies, Tata Motors, L&T, Power Grid, and Bharti Airtel.
