Stocks to eye on: Vodafone Idea, LT Foods, Rain Industries; Nifty stays stable

On Friday, the Indian Indices opened on a low owing to low global cues. However, it recovered slightly with Nifty above 9,300 level. At 11.28 IST, Nifty was trading at 9,506 with 16.4 points, up 0.17 percent. Whereas, Sensex was at a low by 19 points or 0.06 percent at 31,181.

At the moment, among the sectoral indices Nifty private bank is in the red zone. Moreover, Nifty Auto has gained 1 percent at 6,175, at 11.32 IST. More Q4 results to come out today including 3M India, Voltas, Procter & Gamble, and V-Mart Retail. In addition, the Central Statistics Office will release GDP growth estimates at 5.30 pm IST for Q4 and FY20.

  1. Vodafone Idea:

With reports relating to Google appearing to acquire a stake in the telecom company, the shares seem to have risen by almost 30 percent. The joint venture of Vodafone Group Plc and Aditya Birla Group is also looking for budding investments by private firms.

  1. LT Foods:

The company engaged in the production and sale of rice brand, Daawat, has completed buying of grains. Moreover, it is sufficiently covered for demand in fiscal 2021.

  1. Rain Industries:

Even as countries face shut down because of the pandemic, the company plants in Europe and North America continued to function without interruptions during the second quarter of the current fiscal. Moreover, the hydrogenated hydrocarbon resins plant in Germany started on May 18.

  1. Ceat:

The tyre manufacturing company reported a decline in its consolidated net profit by 19.3 percent. In addition, the net profit for the March quarter stood at Rs. 51.9 crore.

  1. Raymond:

The company’s board is set to meet on May 31 to discuss and consider raising of funds. Further, the fundraising will be worth Rs. 80 crore through the issuance of NCDs.
