The Mumbai circuit continues to remain one of the most important territories for Bollywood and pan-India cinema, and the latest box office rankings posted by Cinehub  have revealed some massive milestones. Leading the chart is Dhurandhar 2, which has emerged as the biggest top grosser in the Mumbai circuit with an outstanding collection of approximately ₹302 crore in just seven weeks. The film’s phenomenal theatrical run has made it one of the biggest success stories of the year.

At the second spot is Pushpa 2: The Rule (Hindi), which earned around ₹267.66 crore in the circuit, followed closely by Chhaava with ₹262.69 crore. Interestingly, the original Dhurandhar also features in the list at number four with ₹239.13 crore, highlighting the franchise’s huge popularity among mass audiences.

SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster Baahubali 2 (Hindi) continues to hold a strong position even years after its release, collecting ₹182.56 crore in Mumbai circuit alone. Horror-comedy sensation Stree 2 follows with ₹158.91 crore, proving the growing dominance of the genre in the Hindi market.

Other major entries include KGF Chapter 2 (Hindi) with ₹145.45 crore, Sunny Deol’s comeback blockbuster Gadar 2 at ₹143.98 crore, Ajay Devgn’s historical drama Tanhaji with ₹143.85 crore and Shah Rukh Khan’s action entertainer Jawan with ₹140.05 crore.

Trade analysts believe the list reflects changing audience preferences, where mass entertainers, action dramas and franchise films continue to dominate theatrical business. The success of Dhurandhar 2 in particular has sparked discussions online, with many fans comparing its craze to the historic wave created by Gadar during the early 2000s.

With several big releases still lined up for the year, industry watchers are now eager to see whether any upcoming film can challenge Dhurandhar 2’s record-breaking run in the Mumbai circuit.
