Kapil Sharma and Neetu Kapoor starrer Dadi Ki Shaadi completed its first week at the Indian box office with modest numbers. The family comedy-drama, which released on May 8, continued its slow theatrical run on Thursday with limited occupancy across most circuits.
According to early estimates shared by Sacnilk, the film earned around ₹0.21 crore on Day 7. With this, the movie’s total India net collection has moved close to the ₹4.7 crore mark by the end of its first week.
Directed by Ashish R Mohan, the film also stars Riddhima Kapoor Sahni in a key role and focuses on emotional family relationships with a light-hearted narrative. While the movie managed decent growth during its opening weekend, collections witnessed a steady drop during weekdays.
Trade analysts believe the film has performed comparatively better in smaller cities and among family audiences. However, competition from new releases and Hollywood films has affected its overall box office momentum.
The upcoming second weekend will now be important for Dadi Ki Shaadi, as positive word-of-mouth and family audience support could help the film maintain a stable run in theatres.
