Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Lakshya’ clocks 16 years, actor pays tribute to the armed forces

Filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar penned a note on his directorial movie ‘Lakshya’ which he also paid tribute to the armed forces of India, the actor twitted,“16 years of Lakshya… an experience that’s much more than a film to me and all who created it. Respect & gratitude to the Indian Army for their inspiration and their support.” The movie has completed it 16 years today. The movie was an inspiring war drama starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. The film showcased how a determined Hrithik worked his way into the Indian Army, while Preity Zinta essayed the role of a journalist. The movie also featured Sharad Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Aditya Srivastava, Om Puri, and Boman Irani.

‘Lakshya’ was Farhan Akhtar’s second venture after his hit directorial debut ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. The much-lauded filmmaker has now changed from being behind the camera to showcase his talent in front of it. Farhan has entertained fans with his ace performance in films like ‘Rock On’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ to name a few.

Farhan is all set to fascinate fans with his next outing titled ‘Toofan’. The sports drama features Farhan in the role of a national-level boxer and is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
