Breaking the stereotypes, Rajpal Yadav is all set to play a transgender in Palash Muchhal’s directorial debut ‘Ardh’

Phir Hera Pheri actor, Rajpal Yadav will be playing a transgender in his upcoming film ‘Ardh’, the film will be the directorial debut of music composer, Palash Muchchal.

When playing transgender is concerned very few actors have actually had the guts or the skill to perform. The list is very short, the memorable ones were Asutosh Rana from Sangharsh, Mahesh Manjrekar in Rajjo, Paresh Rawal as Tikku in Tamanna and most recently our own Khiladi Kumar in the 2020 starrer, Laxmii. And now comedian-actor, Rajpal Yadav will add up to the list. He will be essaying the role of a transgender in ‘Ardh’, directed by music composer Palash Muchchal. With his incomparable acting skills, fans are quite sure that Rajpal will slay the role with ease.

The was broken by an insider source to Pinkvilla where he shared the exclusive news. The movie will require high-quality makeup and prosthetic skills. As per the requirement, the makers have decided to hire Katrina Kaif’s loved makeup man, Subhash Singh. He is well known in the industry and he has been part of Katrina’s several concerts worldwide. Till now, no updates have come from the production or the actor himself. But the insider confirms that Rajpal’s look will be out soon in no time.

The debut director announced the film in the mid of June with a tweet, where he wrote,” All set to start my next.” Later in an interview when he was asked about the film he said,  “It’s a story of a man who comes to Mumbai to become an actor. That role is played by Rajpal Yadav.” The cast of the film is both super talented and will be a unique combination for the audience to savour. It features last Big Boss winner Rubina Dilaik and TV serial actor Hiten Tejwani.
