The Arrowverse’s final spin off season releases first official footage

New first-look footage from Superman & Lois‘s final season signals the beginning of the end for DC’s television Arrowverse.

The Arrowverse began in 2012 with Arrow, starring Stephen Amell. Over the years, it expanded into a sprawling multiverse with series like The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Although Superman & Lois is a spin-off set outside of the Arrowverse’s Earth-Prime, its fourth and final season will officially close the book on The CW’s DC narrative.


In a recent highlight reel from The CW, fans were treated to their first glimpse of new footage from the upcoming season of Superman & Lois. The promo opens with Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent and Bitsie Tulloch’s Lois Lane in full parent mode, discussing birthday plans with their twin sons. The scene transitions to a tender moment where Clark, now in his Superman suit, embraces Lois.

The teaser also introduces the season’s monstrous antagonist, hinting at the challenges ahead for the Kent family.

While this teaser gives fans a preview of Season 4, it also marks the beginning of the last marketing campaign for a DC Arrowverse show. The end of Superman & Lois signifies the close of an era for The CW’s DC television universe.

Superman & Lois Season 4 will debut with a two-hour premiere on October 17, as reported by Episode 3 will air the following week on October 24. Further details and footage are expected to be released as the premiere date approaches.

Yvonne Chapman, who plays Amanda McCoy, has already revealed the title for the final episode: “It Went By So Fast.” This title not only encapsulates the episode’s events but also reflects the sentiments of the cast, crew, and fans regarding the conclusion of Superman & Lois and the Arrowverse as a whole.
