In this fourth installment of the beloved franchise, he portrayed one of the buccaneers alongside a star-studded cast including Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane, Sam Claflin, Richard Griffiths, and Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey. The film also featured a memorable cameo by Keith Richards as Jack Sparrow’s father.

Tamayo Perry’s cause of death

On June 23, 2024, Tamayo Perry’s life was cut short in a fatal shark attack while surfing near Goat Island off Oahu. Emergency services were summoned to Malaekahana Beach after Perry was brought to shore by jet ski. Despite their efforts, paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene.

Kurt Lager, Acting Honolulu Ocean Safety chief, remembered Perry as “a lifeguard loved by all,” highlighting the impact he had on both the surfing and lifeguarding communities.
