CEO of DC Studios James Gunn has an exciting update for all Superman fans – Find out

James Gunn revealed that The Summer of Superman will debut at CinemaCon the following year.

The news about the next Superman movie, which is scheduled for release in 2019, has been anxiously anticipated by DC fans. James Gunn, the co-CEO of DC Studios and the guy behind the next Superman movie, recently offered fans something to cheer about.

The director unveiled the new logo for the Superman movie while attending CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Even if the new “bright red and yellow” insignia lacks the entire “S” of Superman, it nonetheless represents the superhero.

Furthermore, Gunn declared that the “Summer of Superman” will begin at CinemaCon the following year.

“I can’t wait to be there in Vegas with all of you next year as we kick off the summer of Superman. I also wanted to thank all of you for your efforts in making Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 a hit.”

Although the specifics of “Summer of Superman” are unknown, it could be a promotional event where fans can meet the stars of the movie at the esteemed conference.

Actor David Corenswet plays Superman/Clark Kent in the latest Superman movie. The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel’s Rachel Brosnahan will portray Lois Lane. Jimmy Olsen will be portrayed by Skyler Gisondo.

Terence Rosemore will play Otis, Isabela Merced will play Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion will play Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan will play Rex Mason/Metamorpho, and Wendell Pierce will play Perry White.

The sole member of DC’s The Authority series to appear in the Superman universe is Angela Spica/The Engineer, who will be portrayed by Maria Gabriela de Faria.

David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, expressed his admiration for Gunn’s Superman movie to the Hollywood Reporter last year and expressed his hope that it would be a big financial success for all parties involved.

Zaslav said, “We got James Gunn and Peter Safran working very hard on DC, which is going to be a very big growth driver for this company. We are very bullish on DC. The Superman script first draft is done. Gunn is on a mission from god. It is a really good moment to prove out on DC what we got and how strong it is globally for long-term sustainable growth.”

Gunn wrote a positive article in November, just after the SAG-AFTRA strike ended, expressing his intention to release Superman immediately despite the production halt that lasted for several months.

He wrote, “Thanks to the efforts of our talented crew, who never lost faith during the longest strikes in Hollywood history, and who never let their foot off the pedal, continuing to barrel forward, creating the most amazing character and set designs I’ve seen in my entire career, Superman Legacy will be making the originally planned release date of July 11, 2025.”
