In a touching episode of her popular cooking vlog, filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan visited actor Rajpal Yadav at his manager’s residence, visibly delighted to see her old friend free after his recent stint in Tihar Jail.
Farah warmly hugged Rajpal and said, “Mereko achha lagg raha hai ki tu bahar ghoom raha hai, sabse zayada vohi acha lag raha hai.” She arrived with her cook Dilip carrying kadhi-chawal and aloo sabzi, while Rajpal prepared his signature mixed vegetable rice — a dish he mastered during his early struggling days in Mumbai.
The duo shared a deep, sibling-like bond. Farah had choreographed Rajpal’s first song in the 1997 film Mast and often scolded him like a protective elder sister. Rajpal admitted he was only scared of her, calling those moments a blessing.
The conversation turned poignant as they discussed Rajpal’s legal troubles. In February 2026, he surrendered in Tihar Jail over a ₹9 crore debt and cheque bounce case linked to a 2010 loan for his directorial debut Ata Pata Laapata, which flopped. He received interim bail after depositing ₹1.5 crore
When Farah asked about his jail experience, Rajpal remained calm and philosophical. “Nothing special. Strict discipline had to be followed,” he said, adding, “Maine har condition mein jeena seekh liya hai” (I have learnt to live in every condition).
He expressed deep gratitude to the film industry for its support, naming Sonu Sood, Salman Khan, David Dhawan, Priyadarshan, and others who stood by him financially and emotionally. “The entire world was standing with me,” he shared.
The light-hearted vlog ended on a hopeful note. Rajpal is gearing up for the April 17, 2026 release of Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla alongside Akshay Kumar. Farah teased her upcoming directorial with Shah Rukh Khan.
This warm reunion highlights Bollywood’s spirit of loyalty and resilience. In an industry often seen as ruthless, Farah’s genuine happiness and Rajpal’s graceful comeback offer a refreshing, feel-good story of friendship and second chances
