Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla is expected to have a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes (around 170 minutes). This makes it one of Akshay’s longest films in the last 12 years.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Bhooth Bangla is around 2 hours and 50 minutes long. After the censor process, the run time may reduce or increase by a few minutes. The exact duration will be known closer to the release date, but as of now, it is said to be around 170 minutes.”

The film’s length stands out because most of Akshay Kumar’s recent movies have been under 150 minutes. The last time he starred in a film of similar duration was Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), which also ran for about 2 hours 50 minutes. Other longer films in his career include Baby, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, OMG 2, and Housefull 5.

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of the successful Akshay-Priyadarshan duo after nearly 14-16 years. The horror-comedy also stars Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. It has already received a UA 16 certification from the CBFC.

The film was earlier scheduled for release on April 10, 2026, though there are reports of a possible delay to April 17. The trailer, which was expected earlier, has also faced slight delays.

With its lengthy runtime, Bhooth Bangla promises a full-packed entertainer blending scares and laughs. Fans are eagerly waiting for the official trailer and final confirmation of the release date.

This big runtime could give the horror-comedy enough space to build its spooky yet funny world, something Akshay Kumar fans have been missing in his recent shorter films
